We process data for the purposes of:

  • Providing quotes when requested.

  • Carrying out work as requested.

  • Invoicing and accounting.

  • Contacting you in relation to the work you have requested us to do.

  • Contacting you in relation to our duties as a data processor where you are the data controller (if applicable).

 

4. Lawful basis for collecting personal data

5.1 Employees

Employees working for Curly Cottage Media Limited who need your information in order to process data as set out in section 3.

 

5.2 Agents

We will disclose your data to our appointed accountants for the purposes of auditing our accounts and cross referencing invoices with payments.

We will disclose your information to the following data processors that we use to process data: -

  • Our appointed accountants

 

We will not share your data with anyone else.

 

6. Retention of your personal data

6.1 Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for us to do so.  We are required by law to retain accurate records of financial transactions for six years.   We will retain your personal data relating to invoices and quotations for at least six years.  If you cease trading with us we will securely dispose of your personal data when six years has passed after the end of the financial year in which you ceased trading with is.  We will retain your data while you trade with us.

 

6.2 Accuracy

Please inform us at the earliest convenience if the data we hold for you is wrong or out of date.  We will update the data we retain if you tell us it is in wrong or out of date. We will delete out of date data.

 

7. Your rights

Unless subject to an exemption [under the GDPR], you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • The right to request a copy of your personal data which Curly Cottage Media Limited holds about you;  

  • The right to request that Curly Cottage Media Limited corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;  

  • The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for Curly Cottage Media Limited to retain such data;  

  • The right to request that the data controller provide the data subject with his/her personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller,

We are happy to provide a copy of the personal data we store about you free of charge.  We will only share this information with the individual to whom it relates to.

We may charge an administrative fee to cover the cost of providing copies of the personal data we store about you if your requests are repetitive or manifestly unfounded.

7.3 Right to rectification

If you discover that the personal data we have is inaccurate you can contact us to correct the data.  Please use the contact details in section 1 to do this.

 

7.4 Right to erasure

If you would like us to consider deleting your personal data please contact us using the contact details provided in section 1.  Where we are required by law to retain accurate financial records for six years it may not be possible to erase the information we have about you until that time has passed.

 

7.5 Right to restrict processing

Please contact us using the contact details provided in section 1 if you would no longer like us to process your data. We may still need to store your personal data.

We do not process data by automated means.  We process data manually for the purposes as set out in section 3.  If you would like a copy of the data we have about you please refer to section 7.2 ‘Rights to access’.

We do not process your data for direct marketing, profiling or research.  We process data for the purposes as set out in section 3. If you would like a copy of the data we have about you please refer to section 7.2 ‘Rights to access’.  

 

7.8 Rights related to automated decision making including profiling

We do not use any automated decision making or profiling.  All data is collected manually and processed as set out in section 3.
